On October 11th in the afternoon the first year students visited the CBS (Centraal Bureau voor Statistiek) at the World Trade Centre. The students got a warm welcome from the director Mrs. Martina, who explaint the mission and vision of CBS and elaborated a bit on the actual researched=s that they are conducting on the Island. After that the students got an elaborate explanation on how the data collection is being done and what systems are being used by CBS. During the presentation the students got a look behind the scenes on how CBS functions and they could see the correlation between the lectures they got regarding research techniques and the work being done by CBS.
