Description:
This MAcc program is specifically designed to anticipate on the New CPA Licensure Model. educating future-ready professionals for a rapidly changing marketplace. ICUC is an early mover in implementing a curriculum that is based on current information as issued by the AICPA, NASBA, and UAA. This innovative and flexible curriculum is based on reports issued by the beforementioned institutions up and until March 2021 and could be adjusted going forward to include subsequent changes. It is expected that a high-level model curriculum will be issued by the AICPA in June 2021.

This Program has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

Based on our innovative curriculum the following instructional resources are available to our students:
  • Artificial Intelligent (AI) Personalized Learning tool build by SANA LABS. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and size of our markets the shift to digital and online resources is enabling what many educators consider to be the holy grail of learning?— personalized, adaptive instruction and assessment.
  • Live Online Classes, from academically and professionally qualified professors.
  • Self-paced modules, which are enabling our professionals to study whenever and wherever they are, fundamentally improving access to learn and impacting students their busy lives.
  • Gamification: The game uses correct answers to multiple-choice questions and task-based simulations to allow users to “build” and enhance their accounting empire by earning gold and knowledge in hopes of amassing the ultimate CPA empire, and ultimately pass the exam. This interactive mobile game experience will:
    • Allow users to select a specific part of the Exam they are preparing for with corresponding questions that mirror the Exam.
    • Provide candidates with a sense of connection to other students through the creation of alliances or challenge to other players to increase resources.

Both Live Online- and Self-Paced AI classes have a duration of 3 to 4 hours. The background of each student is taken into consideration with a knowledge tests to determine the right program for each individual student. The knowledge and experience gained during this process is integrated into the study program. Study material is centrally arranged by ICUC and its educational partners and charged based on cost price.

Structure:

ICUC has one campus located in the authentic St. Martinus building located in the heart of Curaçao, at Molenplein. The building is equipped with pleasant classrooms that are equipped with the most modern techniques. All classrooms are equipped with a whiteboard, a beamer and internet connection. Certain classrooms have an interactive board. In addition to the above MAcc students will be registered in our Artificial Intelligent (AI) online learning tool where real time progress will be monitored, and their study is being personalized based on the students their input. Classes are also thought Live-Online via our LMS system and via our On-Demand AI software learning tool.

ICUC is an early mover to anticipate on the NASBA and AICPA leadership recommendation that we shift to a core + discipline CPA licensure model.

Here’s how we envisioned this: Each MAcc candidate would be required to complete the same robust core education and examination in accounting, auditing, tax and technology — the navy “core.” Each candidate would also choose a discipline in which to demonstrate deeper knowledge. The three potential disciplines we’ve initially identified reflect three pillars of the profession:
  • Business reporting and analysis
  • Information systems and controls
  • Tax compliance and planning

Below are the Core Professional Components Overview that we are anticipating on within our MAcc program in alignment with the new AICPA/NASBA US CPA Licensure Model:
